Large teabowl, Yongzheng c.1730, diameter 3¾", representing ’Charity’, with a nursing mother holding her child, and two small boys with European clothes; one holding her hand and the other with a stick.

The sides and reverse with two large cuckoos on aster sprays, relating to the so-called ’Cuckoo on the House’ design; the interior with flower sprays.
